I am 57 diagnosed over 3 years ago with PD. I take L/C and most of the supplements recommended on this forum. I wanted advice on treatment for Osteoporosis that won't interfere with anything I am currently taking for PD.....
Thanks in advance for any info...

What You Need to Know to Reduce Risk of Hip Fracture and Cardiovascular Disease
Some standards for osteoporosis are vitamin K2, vitamin d 3, magnesium, strontium, boron and prunes. I wrote about this subject and a possible remedy that is rarely discussed for this purpose here :
I am so grateful for this incredible info Art chartist . I used to take Berberine but can't remember why I took it out of my stack. So much interest in these articles. Sounds like I need to up my dose of melatonin too Big thanks!
Berberine has PD & AD benefits and CVD benefits also while being protective of multiple organs. Another thing that Berberine does is reduce insulin resistance and improves insulin sensitivity which is important in neurodegenerative disorders such as PD, where insulin resistance is thought to be a problem even without diabetes.
I see your stack has already been addressed by some. Have you considered weight bearing exercises to assist in increasing bone density? I hope the following links are of some help.
I have osteoporosis as well, the only thing that has improved my bone turnover tests are the tissue salts (cell salts) Mag phos, calc phos, calc fluor and you could also have silica as long as you don't have any metal implants. (I can't have that as I have 3 screws in m y hip from a break in 2012 and silica can push the screws out when taken in this way) My urnine bone turnover tests were 100 before taking them (the correct range is 5-65) and now I'm down to 68 (almost correct range which would then mean I'm not losing bone any more. I have all the usual supplements but they didn't improve the bone turnover, it was only when I started taking these that I improved. (I don't have Parkinsons, my husband has that) I'm in the Uk and I buy mine online but any homeopath can make them up for you. This is where I buy health-emporium.co.uk/colle...
sorry for late reply, only just seen this! Good question, possibly as they're a foreign body so I would not have silica tissue salts/cell salts if I were you but the others will all be fine.
One of the best things you can do for osteoporosis is weight lifting. I am 58, diagnosed almost 4 years ago. I do a weight lifting class (Body Pump) two days a week.
Hormone Replacement Therapy prescribed by a naturopath may be something to seriously consider in addition to diet and exercise.
"Postmenopausal women are susceptible to primary osteoporosis since osteoporosis is closely related to estrogen deficiency. During the menopausal transition period, the drop of estrogen leads to more bone resorption than formation, resulting in osteoporosis."
